Female Sexual Emancipation. The Perlocutionary Act of Consent in Sexual Relations

El rol de la mujer en el sexo ha sido, por mucho tiempo, un tema central y de difícil resolución. La mujer, al ser considerada como la pieza fundamental en la reproducción de la especie humana, ha perdido cabida en el sexo por placer y se le ha denigrado hasta tal punto que su voluntad y autonomía se han subordinado a la voluntad y autonomía de otros: sus padres, esposos e incluso la humanidad como especie. El consentimiento entra aquí como el recurso más valioso para que las mujeres reivindiquen su autonomía y el poder que tienen sobre sí mismas. Este acto de habla, el consentir, visto desde su dimensión locucionaria, ilocucionaria y, sobre todo, perlocucionaria, es la condición de posibilidad para que la mujer retome la agencia moral que le corresponde y sea vista ante los demás como un ser con voluntad y autoridad propia. La realización exitosa del consentimiento ilocucionaria y perlocucionariamente le abre las puertas a la mujer a retomar el placer sexual que se le ha arrebatado por siglos y a hacer efectivos sus derechos sexuales por los que tanto ha luchado. Sin consentimiento la mujer no sería más que un objeto en los contextos sexuales.

The role of women in sex has long been a central and difficult issue to resolve. The woman, being considered as the fundamental piece in the reproduction of the human species, has lost her place in sex for pleasure and has been denigrated to such an extent that her will and autonomy have been subordinated to the will and autonomy of others: her parents, husbands, and even humanity as a species. Consent comes here as the most valuable resource for women to claim their autonomy and power over themselves. This speech act, to consent, seen from its locutionary, illocutionary and, above all, perlocutionary dimension, is the condition of possibility for the woman to take back the moral agency that corresponds to her and to be seen by others as a being with will and authority. The successful performance of illocutionary and perlocutionary consent opens the doors for women to resume the sexual pleasure that has been taken from them for centuries and to make effective the sexual rights for which they have fought so hard. Without consent, women would be nothing more than an object in sexual contexts.
