This article describes one solution to the problems to obtain the soil resistivity and permittivity in a frequency range between 50Hz and 1MHz. This is achieved by using a feedforward - backpropagation neural network. This is important in order to improve the transient behavior studies of grounding systems when submitted to lighting surges.
