LOCALIZACIÓN DE FALLAS EN SISTEMAS E DISTRIBUCIÓN MEDIANTE MÁQUINAS DE SOPORTE VECTORIAL

The interruption of supply electrical energy in permanent or transitory state causes negative effects in industrial, commercial and residential customers. The transmission systems have on efficient schemes of protection and faults location. Nevertheless, the power distribution system companies, due to their technical, economic and operative implications, they are disabled in perform the algorithms and schemes designed for the identification and fault location in transmission systems. The present article gives an alternative of solution to the problem of fault locations in power distribution system networks. It provides the appropriate information for the prevention and opportune attention of faults and requires a minimum of investment of the companies. The objective is to diminish the time of power system restoration by means of the opportune fault location. It bases in the computational intelligence technique denominated Support Vector Machines (SVM). This one is a tool of binary classification that uses the data of the system and the happened faults, and using characteristic of the neuronal networks and optimization theory, locates the new faults based on training dates and a few measurements. The propose methodology uses descriptors of the voltage and current measures in the head of the distribution network during faults, the parameters and the topology of the network, as learning base. The obtained results, with very low cost, allow improving the indices of continuity of the distribution systems.
