Este articulo considera cómo los conflictos sociales y políticos en una sociedad determinan las relaciones entre los individuos y al individuo mismo desde su corporeidad en las obras de Rosemberg Sandoval (Colombia) y Teresa Margolles (México). Estos artistas que se han caracterizado por exponer al espectador a un contacto afectivo y corporal con piezas poéticamente constituidas por substancia, cuerpo y rastro. Adicionalmente el articulo plantea una reflexion sobre la materia narrativa, los residuos de realidad que son intervenidos o recreados en las obras, el ‘archivo’ como obra de arte y la relación memoria e identidad en el arte.
This article studies how social and political conflicts in societies determine the relations between the individuals and their corporeality in the works of Rosemberg Sandoval (Colombia) and Teresa Margolles (Mexico). The works of these artists are poetically constructed by substances, bodies and traces, and expose the spectator to a corporal and affective contact. This article also reflects on the material narrative, intervened or re-created residues of reality, the artwork as ‘archive’ and the relationship between memory and identity in the visual arts.
