En este trabajo se presenta la composición de tres ceras, relativamente económicas y de gran disponibilidad, que exhiben condiciones adecuadas para utilizarse en el proceso de MICROFUNDICION. Para definirlas se estudió la influencia de los modelos de cera en cada una de las etapas del proceso y se planteó una serie de experimentos que evaluaron las características y propiedades más importantes, como punto de fusión, punto de ablandamiento, curva de enfriamiento, curva de flujo, expansión volumétrica, contracción lineal, resistencia, contenido de cenizas y penetración, entre otras.
