El propósito de este artículo es presentar los fundamentos de los sistemas de lógica difusa, partiendo de la teoría de conjuntos difusos, hasta la exposición preliminar de las estrategias de entrenamiento. Se presenta también una herramienta de software (UNFUZZY) desarrollada en el Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. El artículo está dirigido a ingenieros no conocedores del tema, y es de carácter divulgativo general.
