Hidrología en cuencas pequeñas con información escasa
El tema se refiere básicamente a la recolección y procesamiento de información cartográfica e hidrometeorológica en los proyectos que se realizan en cuencas pequeñas con información escasa. Los métodos que se analizan en este trabajo permiten estimar valores para el diseño de obras de almacenamiento y distribución de agua, protección de estructuras hidráulicas y control de sedimentos. Se hizo énfasis en el manejo de la información escasa porque, cuando se realizan estudios hidrológicos en cuencas pequeñas, los registros cartográficos e hidrometeorológicos son deficientes en muchos casos. Las deficiencias son más evidentes en cuencas alejadas de los ríos principales o de los centros poblados.
