Estamos viviendo una revolución sin precedentes, pues gracias a la ciencia de la Informática se han encontrado medios que ponen al alcance de un ciudadano común y corriente esa enorme cantidad de Información que el desarrollo científico y tecnológico ha venido generando. Igualmente los canales de comunicación social han incrementado su eficiencia y se han multiplicado de una manera increíble

Todo lo anterior nos obliga a reflexionar y a replantearnos el problema de la intercomunicación que debe existir entre la Universidad y el país Se puede afirmar que todo el quehacer científico y tecnológico que se adelanta en la Universidad, y del cual esta revista presenta apenas un esbozo, es desconocido por el país, y quizás, se podrá cuestionar el enfoque de algunas de estas actividades universitarias juzgándolas a la luz de las necesidades nacionales, pero esto tampoco lo sabemos.
