Absorción y eliminación rápida, que permite por una parte una inducción fácil y no molesta y por la otra una terminación del estado anestésico cuando el cirujano ya no lo necesite, limitándose además al mínimo posible el tiempo durante el cual el anestésico permanece dentro del organismo perjudicándolo más o menos; acción lo menos nociva posible sobre órganos y tejidos; manera de ad ministración relativamente cómoda, he aquí las principales condiciones de un buen anestésico general según todos sabemos.
