Investigación en la Sede Bogotá: palingenesia de saberes

Los recursos financieros de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Bogotá que se asignan a la investigación se otorgan a proyectos a través de mecanismos de competencia por calidad y pertinencia. Esto hace referencia a la necesidad de verificar si los proyectos de investigación, cuya calidad ha sido evaluada por pares académicos, se adecuan a las prioridades establecidas en el Plan Global de Desarrollo 1999-2003 y si presentan un positivo impacto en el desarrollo social, científico, tecnológico o económico para el país. Internamente implicó una construcción y rediseño institucionales que propiciaran y apoyaran este tipo de estrategias y que permitieran una articulación entre investigadores para enfrentar el reto de adelantar los proyectos de investigación por grupos  intergeneracionales, inter y transdisiciplinarios; vinculados a problemáticas nacionales y la necesaria relación entre los investigadores y las instituciones, tanto del sector público como del sector privado, que participan en el proceso de generación, difusión y absorción de conocimientos e innovaciones.
