Donald Davidson argumenta contra el escepticismo en su artículo “Una Teoría Coherentista de la Verdad y el Conocimiento” con lo que se podría llamar el ‘argumento del intérprete omnisciente’. Mi propósito, en un primer momento, es mostrar que este argumento, debido a que indaga por posibilidades contra-fácticas, es inválido. En un segundo momento, quiero ahondar sobre la sospecha de que si tomamos en cuenta otros aspectos de la teoría de Davidson acerca del significado, sí se podría hacer frente al escepticismo. Vale la pena aclarar que el escepticismo del que hablo aquí no es un escepticismo tan estricto: no se pone en duda la existencia del mundo, sino, más bien, se pone en duda si el mundo es como lo concebimos o no.

Donald Davidson argues against the skepticism in his paper "A Coherence Theory of Truth and Knowledge", with the omniscient-interpreter argument. My purpose is, firstly, to show that this argument, due to its contrafactic considerations, is not valid. Secondly, I want to explore the hunch that if we take into account other aspects of Davidson's meaning theory, we can confront the skepticism. It is worth saying that the skepticism I am talking about is not a strict one: the existence of the world is not doubted, rather, we doubt if the world is as we conceive it to be.
