Este trabajo analiza las actas electorales de varias parroquias de la provincia de Cartagena durante la década de 1830 y estudia las diferencias en los comportamientos electorales por parte de los habitantes de la provincia. La hipótesis que sostenemos es que en las poblaciones rurales había un mayor control del electorado que en las urbanas.
