Es indudable que dada la formación académica del ingeniero agrícola, se tiene la tendencia a darle más importancia a los aspectos técnicos en el desarrollo de un proyecto específico y en muy pocas oportunidades se considera el aspecto de la financiación del mismo o se desconoce que existen líneas de crédito que facilitarían su feliz culminación.
Es por ello que se pretende, con el presente artículo, ofrecer un vistazo rápido sobre la principal fuente de financiación del sector a través del Fondo Financiero Agropecuario. Este Fondo es una valiosa herramienta para el desarrollo del sector y, para conocerlo mejor, se presentara un análisis que incluye desde su creación hasta los programas previstos para el año de 1984.
