Los polisacáridos de origen microbiano han empezado a adquirir un valor cada vez más importante en el campo industrial. A continuación se hace una revisión bibliográfica, donde se muestra un panorama de los polisacáridos producidos por cepas de Ahizobium y sus posibles aplicaciones industriales. Entre éstos se nombra el succinoglicano, un nuevo glucoronan y biopolímeros tipo curdlan, entre otros.
