Reviews of engineering's most notable milestones in Colombia
Reseñas de grandes hitos de la ingeniería en Colombia

This section presents some outlines describing the advances made by engineering in Colombia. Turriago begins the section by describing aspects regarding the history of petrol in Colombia until the middle of the 20th century. René Andrés Meziat Restrepo then gives a summary of his book entitled Gestión Ambiental-Obras y Construcciones (Environmental Management-Civil Work and Construction) and Hernando Monroy Valencia describes the development of Colombian construction-related engineering whilst Augusto Ruiz Corredor closes the section with a report about pre-stressed concrete bridges in Colombia. These reviews provide readers with an opportunity to learn more about part of the role which engineering has played in Colombia’s development.
Esta sección muestra algunas reseñas que describen avances de la ingeniería en Colombia. Inicialmente Turriago describe los aspectos de la historia del petróleo en Colombia hasta mediados del siglo XX; posteriormente René Andrés Meziat Restrepo hace una reseña del libro Gestión ambiental Obras civiles y construcciones; luego el académico Hernando Monroy Valencia describe el desarrollo de la ingeniería colombiana de construcción; y finalmente, Augusto Ruiz Corredor hace una reseña sobre los puentes preesforzados en Colombia. Estas reseñan brindan la oportunidad de conocer parte del desarrollo que la ingeniería ha brindado al país.

3. The authors authorize the Universidad Nacional de Colombia's journal Ingeniería e Investigación to publish the document in whatever required format (printed, digital, electronic or whatsoever known or yet to be discovered form) and authorize Ingeniería e Investigación to include the work in any indices and/or search engines deemed necessary for promoting its diffusion;
4. The authors accept that such authorization is given free of charge and they, therefore, waive any right to receive remuneration from the publication, distribution, public communication and any use whatsoever referred to in the terms of this authorization.
