S. L. 16 años. Ciudad de origen y procedencia: San Martín. Servicio del Prof. Luis María Salgar.
NOTA CLINICA: La paciente ingresa al Servicio de Clínica Médica el 25 de Octubre de 1951 con disnea de esfuerzo y de decúbito, tos con expectoración hemoptoica, cefalea permanente y epistaxis.
Antecedentes familiares: Sin importancia.
Antecedentes personales: Enfermedades de la infancia; poco después paludismo y carate. A los 12 años presentó una hemorragia vaginal escasa que sólo le duró un día; no ha aparecido menstruación. La alimentación ha sido rica en carbo-hidratos y muy pobre en proteínas y grasas.
Enfermedad actual: Hace dos años presentó anasarca de corta duración y desaparición espontánea; desde entonces sufre de disnea de esfuerzo que se ha hecho más notoria en los últimos meses. Hace unos tres meses presentó cefalea, vómito, sensación vertiginosa y oliguria; 2 meses después, a estos síntomas se agregaron fosfenes, miodesopsias, epistaxis frecuentes y abundantes. Unos días antes de su ingreso al Hospital y después de una epistaxis muy abundante, apareció tos con expectoración hemoptoica, gran disnea, escalofrío, fiebre, mialginas sensación de adormecimiento de las extremidades inferiores, dolor precordial, angustia y edema marcado de los miembros inferiores de iniciación maleolar.
