After fifty years of existence, the Anuario is recognized by the national and international academic community as the pioneer in the publication of historical research in the country. The Journal, throughout its trajectory, has been the main forum for the dissemination of studies by national and international specialists, accounting for the consolidation of historical research in Colombia. The Journal aims to disseminate research on the history of Colombia; it also accepts comparative articles on Latin America and the world and historiographical and theoretical analyses. It only accepts original and unpublished work; thus it does not receive translations, papers or parts of works already published in any medium. Each volume appears in two numbers per year.
