El Gobierno colombiano en cabeza de COLCIENCIAS, prepara un Plan de Acción para la definición, instrumentación y puesta en marcha del Programa Nacional de Investigaciones en ETI (Electrónica, telecomunicaciones e informática). Este proyecto es muy loable y colma en parte algunas expectativas de la comunidad; sin embargo existen ciertas preocupaciones por la inminencia de un sesgo por la peligrosa desinformación en lo atinente a la Informática propiamente dicha. Estos temores se visualizaron al revisar diferentes documentos y estudios previos y además en la reunión preparatoria del pasado 10 de julio en COLCIENCIAS, donde se evidenciaron aspectos tales como: la descontextualización de la informática, su concepción esencialmente instrumentalista y francamente reduccionista de la informática en la medida que se le quiere hacer aparecer como un apéndice del hardware computacional y de las Telecomunicaciones y además que la mayoría de los autores la ubicaron estática y atada a la pasada III Generación. En este documento pretendemos hacer algunos comentarios críticos en torno al Informe respectivo a la Misión de Ciencia y Tecnología, el estudio sobre la Informática auspiciado por la ACIS y al Documento inicial del Programa ETI, suscrito por varios profesionales. Nuestro análisis es atinente a la informática esencialmente.
