En este artículo se presentan algunos mensajes y significados derivados del ordenamiento del espacio en el centro comercial Gran Estación, localizado en Bogotá, Colombia. El paisaje dispuesto allí se equipara con un texto sujeto a ser interpretado. De esta manera, se examinan las lecturas que realizan los usuarios de este espacio comercial y, en consecuencia, se evidencia el papel que tienen los promotores de centros comerciales como autores de ese tipo de formas construidas. Se evidencian temas como el del espacio público privatizado y el control o exceso de seguridad que se mantiene en esos lugares.
This article presents some messages and meanings derived from the spatial organization in the Gran Estacion Mall, located in Bogotá, Colombia. The landscape provided there is equated to a text subject to interpretation. Thus, users readings are examined in order to evidence the role played by mall promoters as authors of this type of built environments. Topics such as the pseudo public space and excessive control or security are made evident.
Neste artigo são apresentadas algumas mensagens e significados derivados da organização espacial do centro comercial Gran Estación, localizado na cidade de Bogotá, Colômbia. A paisagem ali disposta é equiparável a um texto, sujeito à interpretação. Assim, as leituras realizadas pelos usuários do centro comercial são examinadas para evidenciar a função que possuem os promotores de centros comerciais como autores deste tipo de ambientes construídos, onde assuntos como a privatizaçao do espaço público e o controle ou o excesso de segurança que se observam nesses lugares são temas relevantes que devem ser analisados.
