Determinación inmunológica de gonadotropina coriónica (como método para diagnóstico de embarazo)

A fin de comparar la utilidad de dos métodos diferentes para el diagnóstico del embarazo, se estudian 100 mujeres (73 embarazadas y 27 no embarazadas) . En cada una de ellas se lleva a cabo una reacción inmunológica cualitativa (en orina) de tipo aglutinación inhibición y dos reacciones biológicas, con batracios machos, cualitativas (en orina y suero respectivamente) . Los resultados se comparan con la evolución ulterior de las mujeres. Se encuentra que la reacción inmunológica es más sensible y más específica (como prueba cualitativa) que la reacción biológica (Galli Mainini) en suero o en orina. Se hace notar que la reacción inmunológica es más sencilla y no está sujeta a los problemas de mantenimiento y variaciones biológicas de los animales.

One-hundred women were studied in order to compare the usefulness of 2 different methods of diagnosing pregnancy (73 were pregnant and 27 were not pregnant).
