Objetivo: establecer el proceso para usar un modelo conceptual de enfermería como guía en un ensayo clínico controlado.
Metodología: inicia con la presentación del contenido de las directrices del modelo conceptual para la investigación, seguido del desarrollo del proceso investigativo, para finalizar con la construcción de una estructura conceptual-teórica-empírica sobre el tema específico de investigación.
Resultados: el desarrollo del proceso se hizo a través del modelo de adaptación de Roy, en un ensayo clínico controlado que aplicó la estimulación multisensorial auditiva, táctil, vestibular y visual en el recién nacido prematuro, para mejorar la eficiencia en la alimentación. Siendo indicadores de adaptación, la frecuencia cardíaca y la saturación de oxígeno durante la alimentación, la cantidad tomada de alimento y el tiempo invertido para la toma, el número de succiones durante la alimentación, la ganancia de peso diaria y el número de días en la transición de la alimentación por sonda a la alimentación
por vía oral.
Discusión: el ensayo clínico controlado basado en el modelo de adaptación de Roy demuestra su utilidad para la sustentación científica de la promoción de la salud del recién nacido prematuro a través de la intervención de enfermería, mediante la estimulación multisensorial con pautas específicas, que sirven de guía para la práctica en las unidades neonatales, convirtiéndose de esta manera en un paso esencial en el avance científico, base de la disciplina de la enfermería.
Conclusión: el uso de un modelo conceptual como guía en la investigación simplifica el entendimiento del fenómeno a estudiar.
Methodology: It starts with the presentation of the contents of the conceptual model guidelines for research. Then, a research process is developed. Finally, a conceptual-theoretical-empirical structure about the specific research topic is created.
Results: The process was developed through Roy’s adaptation model in a controlled clinical test that used auditory, tactile, vestibular and visual multi-sensorial stimulation in the premature newborn in order to improve efficiency in feeding. Indicators were adaptation, heart rate and oxygen saturation during feeding; amount of food and time for taking it; number of suctions during feeding; daily weight gain and number of days in transition from probe feeding to oral feeding.
Discussion: The controlled clinical test based on the controlled Roy adaptation model proved to be useful for scientific grounds of premature newborn health promotion through nursing intervention, multisensory stimulation with specific instructions that serve as a guideline for practice in neonatal units making it an essential step in scientific progress, which constitutes the grounds of the nursing discipline.
Conclusion: The use of the conceptual model as a guideline in the research simplifies the understanding of the phenomenon to study.
Metodologia: inicia com a apresentação do conteúdo das diretrizes do modelo conceptual para a pesquisa, seguido do desenvolvimento do processo de pesquisa para encerrar com a construção de uma estrutura conceptual-teórica-empírica sobre o tópico de pesquisa específico.
Resultados: o desenvolvimento do processo se fez através do modelo de adaptação de Roy, em um ensaio clínico controlado que aplicou a estimulação multissensorial auditiva, táctil, vestibular e visual no recém-nascido prematuro para melhorar a eficiência na alimentação. Os indicadores foram de adaptação, a frequência cardíaca e a saturação de oxigénio durante a alimentação; quantidade de alimento ingerida e tempo da alimentação; número de sucções durante a alimentação, aumento de peso diário e número de dias na transição da alimentação por sondagem para a alimentação por via oral.
Discussão: o ensaio clínico controlado baseado no modelo de adaptação de Roy demonstra sua utilidade para a sustentação científica da promoção da saúde do recém-nascido prematuro através da intervenção de enfermagem, mediante a estimulação multissensorial com pautas específicas, que servem de guia para a prática nas unidades neonatais, tornandose desta forma em um passo essencial no avance científico, base da disciplina da enfermagem.
Conclusão: o uso de um modelo conceptual como guia na pesquisa simplifica o entendimento do fenómeno a ser estudado.
