Aquí se hace un planteamiento del equilibrio termodinámico en sistemas de naturaleza variada. Para ello, se analizan los estados de equilibrio verdadero y aparente, se lleva a cabo un preludio matemático, con la fusión de la primera y segunda leyes de la termodinámica; y finalmente se dan los cuatro criterios de equilibrio más empleados.
