Social entrepreneurship (se) is a phenomenon that has gained importance in the field of management due to its benefits for social development. Therefore, the objective of this study is to validate a measurement scale for the dimensions that make up the se process —innovativeness, risk management, and proactivity—that has been constructed based on literature from theoretical and empirical studies. To achieve this, we conducted a pilot study through digital surveys, which allowed for the validation of a sample of one hundred elements from companies in northeastern Mexico. A corresponding confirmatory factor analysis was then executed using pls software. As a result of the analysis, it is confirmed that the proposed scale achieves the necessary statistical validity for validation, with reliability and composite reliability indices and convergent and discriminant validity surpassing the thresholds needed for acceptance. The main contribution of the present study lies in validating a measurement scale for se in Mexico, thus contributing to a better understanding of the phenomenon. However, the study is limited by its geographical location, preventing the generalization of the se process in a country with a vast territorial extension and changing environments.
