No. 15 (2015): "STRUCTURE OF THE SUBJECT AND CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL BONDE"

Desde el Jardín de Freud 15

This new edition of the magazine Desde el Jardín de Freud calls for a reflection on the crucial issue of contemporary malaise in the prospect of putting its constituent elements, both at the social bond and the effects on the subject you are staying in it . The issue is not new, as can be seen in the huge production that account psychoanalytic publications in the most diverse latitudes, as well as in our journey in the course of successive editions of this magazine, although each special issue it addressed in the light of its particularity. Judging by the profusion of valuable contributions of thinkers and artists of our time, the subject is already in the tradition of social and cultural critique of all the social and human sciences and arts in general, from late in the second half the last century. Given, therefore, its relevance and timeliness and, at the same time, the insistence with which returns in our reflections, consider it appropriate to define this field in order to highlight a feature that touches the intersection between the structure of the subject and the contemporary social bond.

This joint, as is known, finds its antecedents in Freud himself. In fact, it was in neurotics of his time in Freud who noticed the condition of modern man, torn between the impulse unteachable and cultural demands supported by the civilizing ideal. That antagonism Freud deduced precisely the ways of formation of symptoms: supported as they are in the traces of the discourse of the Other who found the unconscious of the subject and the norm of other social, neurotic symptoms and reveal their double dimension, historical and structure.
