About the Journal

The online journal Matices en Lenguas Extranjeras is semi-annual electronic publication of the Foreign Languages Department of the National University of Colombia. Since its establishment in 2007, its objective has been to disseminate unpublished articles related to the area of foreign languages from the perspective of didactics, pedagogy, language policies, cultures, and translation, among others. The journal publishes texts from different parts of the globe and written in a variety of languages.
