No. 13 (2013): «CONFLICT, SEGREGATION, EXCLUSION»
From his first edition, in 2000, Desde el Jardín de Freud has sought to offer a reasoned and critical reflection on issues that are the responsibility of psychoanalysts and which also concern academics from other disciplines, thinkers, writers and artists, for how much they deal with topics related to the subject and culture in their different manifestations. On this occasion we have tried to address certain essential topics in the consideration of the social bond, whose presence in different levels of human experience and permanent current, always call debates and inquiries in multiple academic and social settings. These are usually related social expressions: conflict, segregation and exclusion.
In Colombia, the armed conflict has been the privileged scenario in which we have seen the appearance and deepening of segregation effects and practices of exclusion, under the strictest binary opposition logic. In this regard, we are asked the burning question of the social groups directly affected by the conflict: the victims of the massacre, the dismemberment of their communities, the dispossession of their lands and property..., which constitutes a multiple fracture of the social bond. In the same way, we are concerned about the balance regarding the conditions of possibility required for the termination of the conflict in terms of the construction of new social pacts. What could we say about it? For now, we deserve special attention the perspective opened by the proposal of a peace agreement that would come to put an end to the armed conflict in Colombia.
This monographic magazine, Desde el Jardín de Freud, dedicated to the subject of conflict, segregation and exclusion, is an invitation to reflect on these issues, not only in the perspective of the local, but from other latitudes, not only from psychoanalysts, but from researchers from other disciplines, thinkers of culture, community leaders, writers and artists.
